Artist's Statement
- I am inspired to create light, colourful jewellery and accessories by the speed, beauty and precision
design of Formula 1 cars.
- I use my own photography in a lacquering technique I developed to use in conjunction with titanium, a very
light but very strong metal often used in high performance vehicles.
- My pieces are striking statement pieces that are light even though they are large.
- I am looking to sell my pieces to those bold enough to wear them, those who are searchin for something unique,
individual and eye catching in out mass produced world. Jewllery is very personal, we wear it so close to our bodies
and express so much of oursevles through it. My jewellery is there to be enjoyed and admired, to add colour and brighten
the world of those who see and wear it.
- For the future I will be developing this technique using different forms and inspirations taken both from the world
of motor racing and that of the wider world of colour.
