FAQ

It’s sold out when will you be making another one?

Sorry, I never make the same thing twice. Once it has gone it has gone.

I put new work up on my website on Fridays all pieces are first come first served.

Sign up to my mailing list so you can keep up to date and take a look at my new pieces each Friday.

How do I know it will fit?

Each piece of jewellery is made with a comfortable fit in mind. As I make I check for fit, comfort and wearability.

Dimensions and sizes are given in each product description, check these against something you know fits you.

Ring sizes are UK sizes. Still not sure if the ring will fit?  Contact me and I will send you a free ring sizer in the post so you can check your sizing before you buy.

What is it made of?

All materials are given in the product description but my main metal is sterling silver.

I use recycled sterling silver from old and broken silverware and cutlery to minimise the amount of newly mined precious metals used in my workshop practice.

Sterling silver is also known as 925 silver as is 92.5% silver alloyed with the remainder in copper to increase workability and strength.

In the UK all sterling silver weighing more than 7g and gold of more than 1g must be hallmarked. This hallmark is stamped by one of the UK Assay Offices and guarantees the amount of silver or gold in a piece.

This is my hallmark; my maker’s mark (PP), fineness marks, (925 and/or a lion passant for sterling) an assay office mark (I use London Assay Office so it is a leopard’s head) and a date letter. More

When and how will you deliver it?

I will come to you carefully and beautifully packaged in a handmade kimono fabric bag and a sturdy box or for larger items and commissions a repurposed vintage tin that fully protects it during shipping.

In the UK I use Royal Mail Special Delivery or Signed For Delivery so make sure you give me a delivery address where someone can sign for your package.

I will send your order out as soon as I receive your order and payment. You should receive it within 3 days of your order for Special Delivery and within 7 days for Signed for Delivery.

I use Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed to ship outside the UK and delivery times vary and can take up to two weeks.

For high-value items, I will use a specialist courier. A quote will be provided on request.

What if it doesn’t fit when I receive it?

Hopefully, you will have checked the product description for dimensions and sizing before you purchase, or requested a free ring sizer (see above).

Most of my rings and bracelets are open so there is some adjustment you can make yourself to tighten or loosen the fit. Most of my necklaces come with an extender chain so you can adjust the fit.

If it doesn’t fit and you can’t adjust it, get in contact. I can make adjustments for you. The cost of the adjustment depends on what needs doing, contact me to find out prices.

If you don’t think it will ever fit even with adjustments, get in touch and I can arrange a refund.

Returns must be received within 30 days please see my Terms & Conditions

What Happens If I don’t like it when I receive it?

No problem! Jewellery is a very personal thing and I understand that. Get in touch and we can arrange a return and refund.

Refund only covers the price of the jewellery, not delivery. Please use Royal Mail Special Delivery or similar tracked and insured service for your return.

Refunds are issued when I receive the piece back unworn with no scratches or other evidence of wear.

Returns must be received within 30 days please see my Terms & Conditions

How do I care for my jewellery?

A little care goes a long way! Keep jewellery in its original kimono fabric bag and box, don’t let your jewellery rattle around together in one box!

To remove dirt use soapy water or washing up liquid and a soft sponge or toothbrush

Shiny silver – polish with a silver polishing cloth

Blackened/oxidised silver – should not need polishing but to re-shine polished areas, use a silver polishing cloth. The areas in contact with skin may lighten through wear over years.

Pearls and stones – Keep away from perfume, cosmetics and sharp objects.

Can you make something especially for me?

Yes of course!

Whether you have a stone you want to use, an old ring you want to melt down, an idea for a present or a specific budget I can help.

Prices vary but will include materials, design work, making time and hallmarking of precious metals if necessary. Shipping is extra.

Get in contact and we can get ideas rolling. In the past, I have worked on both corporate commissions and commissions for private individuals.

Want to chat about it? email me or call +44 7941117782

Once the initial design and price are agreed a 50% deposit is required to start work. The remainder to be paid before your jewellery is shipped.

What if I damage my jewellery and it needs repair?

Don’t worry, if I can repair it I will!

Get in contact and tell me what happened.

Prices for repairs vary, I will provide you with a quote when we’ve worked out what’s broken. Fees start at £20 + p&p.

I only repair jewellery I have made, sorry.

Worried about the cost?

I understand really excellent jewellery can be a significant financial outlay. I am happy to spread payments over a few months for items £300 and over.

Get in contact and we can work out terms. A deposit of 30% will be required to secure your piece. See my Terms and Conditions for more information.
