Long Silver Chain Necklace

A handmade long silver chain necklace, constructed in square wire. Consequently, this necklace has both a structured and unusual look. Each version of this necklace is unique; it is made up of a variety of geometric shapes in a double-linked chain. It closes with a simple and easy to secure hook clasp. The design of these chains is based on mid-century modern shapes and designs of the atomic age. The smooth modern look of the 1950s and 60s. Consequently, these long necklaces have a graphic line quality that gives them a contemporary-retro feel.

Unique and Handmade

Each long silver chain necklace is unique; I never make the same thing twice. I made them by hand using a freeform shaping technique. Forming each link, then arranging them in a pleasing and comfortable sequence. I made these long silver chain necklaces using traditional jewellery techniques; each link painstakingly shaped and joined individually. The link sizes in this handmade chain are intentionally irregular to give them an eye-catching graphic line. They are available in either shining silver or blackened silver finishes.
